Chose this hotel because I was flying in for a hospital appointment. All the 1 star reviews are bogus. My room was clean. It was big for a budget hotel, and even had a sofa. Nice modern furniture. My only grip was that you have to pay for WiFi, and the TV was kinda small at 32". The staff were friendly, and even gave me a late checkout free of charge. Their restaurant offers eat in or room service. And I got a huge 2 course meal with drink (house wine) included for £14. I don't leave reviews very often. But all these 1 star reviews bugged me enough to give an actual real experience. Also good bus routes to the airport and hospital... Or only a 45 minute walk in both directions if you feel like it on a nice sunny day.

Has a lot of knockers, I can only speak as I find, my rooms problems were dealt with decisively, I wasn't after any recompense, I know how it is, some people want blood for very little. There deal in the restaurant was fantastic!! A starter of some very fine tomato soup, a steak and chips and a beer...for £16, that is beyond great value. Very tasty, enjoyed!!

Not a great location as nowhere to go, nothing to do in walking distance in the evenings. If you judged it from its exterior you would probably pass it by as it looks very tatty and dated - on the outside. My overall experience of this hotel was good. Has a fairly large car park, was reasonably priced and if you are using Bucksburn as a touring base by coach, then it's handy. Some of the staff were extremely helpful, special mention to Nico who served and waited on in the bar and dining area. One older lady was surly and unfriendly but I think she was harassed, she didn't make a good impression though. Food was plentiful and improved after the first evening, when I was offered "a vegetarian sausage" for my main meal. Was not impressed, but it got upgraded to an omelette. After that the vegetarian meal choice vastly improved and the best meal was the last one with sweet potato chips. The buffet style food bar was regularly attended and topped up by very busy staff who did a good job. Breakfast was drinks, toast, cereals, porridge, fruit, yoghurt, and a range of hot food. No mushrooms though, so not many hot food options if you don't eat animals. You could help yourself to as much as you wanted. Overall food and service were good. We were all paying the same for our rooms, some had fans, fridges and others of us didn't. Some had somewhere to hang wet towels, but my room had nowhere, no hooks anywhere on either door and nowhere to hang a wet towel in the bathroom either. I used 2 of the 4 hangers supplied on the clothes rail to stuff the towels on. Wasn't ideal, small fix to put a couple of hooks up. There was a tv, never used it, a hairdryer, iron and ironing board and complimentary toiletries. The hospitality tray was basic and had nothing I could consume - no hot chocolate, no herb teas and no biscuits at all. No herb tea available in the hotel as I asked the aforementioned woman and got an offhand, smile-less response. Once you get past the sad, faded, plastic baskets hanging at the entrance (kerb appeal zilch) the foyer, lobby, reception is fairly smart. Lifts up to the floors, good sized rooms, entertainment on in the evenings. Comfy bed. Quiet room. I enjoyed most aspects of my stay.

Stayed with a Caledonian tour, room was large, clean, well equipped with everything needed for a 4 night stay (loads of storage), a little dated and a little tired but to be expected at their price point. Both breakfasts and evening meal had small choice but food well cooked and tasty, didn't go hungry any day there. Bar prices reasonable and all the staff I interacted with very helpful and friendly. Only real let down is very far out of the city centre and not much in immediate area. Would definitely stay again if in the area

Hotel was clean. Room was comfortable and facilities were really good. Staff were very friendly and professional and made our long weekend stay great. The food was fabulous too, we had half board and at each meal there was plenty of choice. The food was great quality, well presented - buffet style, tasty as well as being plentiful - always being replenished so no-one would miss out. No hesitation in telling everyone how great everything was and would certainly use this hotel again - real value for money and couldn't fault a thing. Thanks to the staff for a great time.

Just back here on a allocated Mystery Weekend with Loch Lomond Travel, our room was dated but clean & tidy. Food was adequate & some staff we're a bit laid back, but overall for what we paid it was good-value.
